Hello from the High Flyers! We loved watching the show and reliving all the good times a tough competition we through to build the "cardozers" You are great competitors and fun people to work with. We miss you guys! To those reading this from outside the junkyard, please know that these dudes are one classy bunch. After we competed in the semi-finals (watch on April 16th) we returned to the set-up area and were treated to some ice-cold Oreygon Beer, compliments of our new friends, the BIGshots. You guys are great! Ed Schafer, Captain of the High Flyers

I am the proud mother of Big Shot Joe. Now I know how Tom Cruise's mother must feel! Great job all of you. What fun and what great memories of some hot August days in beautiful downtown L.A.

there are winners and there are victors. in this case the team that overcame the greatest difficulties were the victors. have i earned some guacamole-flavored potato chips as my junk-yard food reward? i hope so, because the thought of eating green potato chips is a bit alien. big shots rock.

Hi from Kevin, son of the competitors expert, Jerry. Tomorrow is the day and we are all looking forward to seeing the show. It was great to watch some of the action first hand... the memories are fond-- but I am glad it wasn't me under all that pressure!!
See you all tomorrow! KV.

I would say that foods you may enjoy while watching Junkyard Wars might include:
"Sloppy Joe's"
"Mud Pies"
and possibly anything with "Ground" beef in it!
Also, "Junk" food would be appropriate...

From Greasemonkey a.k.a. "Expert Tim"
Glad to see you guys have started a web site. Looking forward to seeing the show, it will certainly bring back fond memories.
Since the shooting down south (everywhere is "down south" from up here in Ottawa Canada), I've been an article in the local newspaper, and will be doing an interview for the leading news channel here in Ottawa. Sylvie (my girlfriend) who came down to California with me, myself, family and friends and the media, will be screening the first showing of our episode at a pub here, with a Jumbo screen. So the Big Shots will big big as life on screen. Can't wait!!
I owe it to the "Big Shots" for all of the attention, good times, and great memories.
I have quite a few pictures from the shooting of the show, if you would like any, they are all electronic.
I will post more later.

The site is fantastic! Great work, Kevin! And just who is the great looking guy driving Doz-illa? I'm sure that I would LOVE to meet that guy....
And for the record.... Joe's kitty fan club, which includes Carmen, Jasmine and Dusty, are very proud. We can't wait to see our famous Junk-Yard Star in action...

Want to know the rest of Tom's pets? They include dogs Lulu and Zoey, barn cat Gracie and rodents Franny and Hailey! Wife and sons? Who really cares.

TLC now has information about the teams from season 10 -- including your BIGshots! They've got a nice team shot (like the photos on this website) and descriptions of the men and their first Junkyard challenge.
We should, however, all email TLC for the unforgiveable typo of misspelling Joe's last name as 'Frietas' rather than the proper 'Freitas'.
Don't they know the 'I' Before 'E' rule?
'I' before 'E' except after 'C'
or when sounding like "A"
as in 'neighbor' or 'weight' [or 'Freitas' -- addendum by Kevin Freitas]
