Congrats Tacoma Marathon runners, organizers and volunteers!

Congratulations to everyone who ran today's first Tacoma Marathon! And a hearty thanks to the organizers for bringing such an event to town. Hopefully the event with 1,400 participants was success enough to do it again next year. I'm sure the organizers, volunteers and police that helped make today work also deserve thanks.

Much like fellow blogger Erik, I wasn't up nor around for the start of the event but saw a few runners before heading into the office today. They looked like they were in the zone but i solid shape. I've never been a long distance runner nor I may never be but the cool conditions probably helped make today ideal for the occasion.

Next year, I promise I'll get my butt up and take some photos. This year, you only get the following few I snapped near South Tacoma Way and "C" Street.
