Tonight's CLAW Open Swim involved life drawing of a different sort. Joining us for the first time were some fine examples of the Dockyard Derby Dames. Decked out in full roller derby garb they graciously posed for everyone as we sketched and took photos. I decided to try my hand at drawing tonight and really enjoyed having actual subjects to study and see if I could get to a place that was recognizable. We started with rapid fire one minute poses, followed by a couple 10 minute, and one 20 minute pose. I'm pretty happy with my stuff considering I've never done anything like it before.
Huge thanks to Amocat Cafe for staying open late to host and for the members of the DyDD Trampires who came to pose!
