Long Beach Peninsula with the Parents
I can see the Long Beach peninsula from the front door of my Tokeland cabin but, believe it or not, it takes over an hour-and-a-half to drive there. Nevertheless, I made the stunning drive and met my folks in Long Beach first thing this morning to grab some pastries then head up the peninsula to look at places for them to enjoy their retirement. We had some time to wonder on the beach a bit, see the stunning, historic little town of Oysterville (see: town in the woods in Tim Burton's Big Fish -- seriously!), then grabbed a tasty lunch at Bailey's Bakery & Cafe in nearby Nahcotta. Can't wait to see where my folks end up buying a place but I like their taste since it includes a view of the waves! Think I'm slowly infecting everyone with a love for the WA coast. BWAH HA HA HAAAA! ;)
