Get First Night'd

The First Night Tacoma website is now up and humming. Four pillars of community, celebration, the New Year, and the arts guide this event here and numerous ones around the country. Great thing about it is there hasn't been one in these parts in a few years so it's good to have it back. There's opportunity to volunteer as well as provide feedback to the planners about your experience with past First Night events, what stories you have to tell, and what you'd like to see this year. You can also sign up for their newsletter to stay in the loop with the event as well as I'm sure check back at their site from more info all the time.

Since the organization here is freshly out of debt from past events, it'll be great to start anew. Hopefully plenty of folks will chip in and volunteer and even more will get out and celebrate what will surely end up being a banner year for Tacoma.
