As I mentioned a couple days ago, Elizabeth Brown held a free concert in Old Town last night. She played both her lute and guitar wonderfully and even enlightened the large crowd with a little of the history behind her selections. She musically and masterfully wound her way from the Old World to this side of the pond and into modern times. It was delightful to experience her love for these instruments, the music she plays and the history that surrounds them.
Although this was the last in the free concert series this year the organizers have applied for grants to continue this tradition next year. Keep an eye on the Old Town Tacoma website for upcoming events.
