Photos ~ Music and Glass at the Conservatory
Sarah and I had the pleasure of getting over to the botanical conservatory yesterday to listen to some music and view some glass art. Our co-worker Joe Izenman played and sung along with his dad and his friend an hour-and-a-half of lively, sentimental, and fun folk tunes. Though I know Joe from work and another band I'd never heard him sing. His mandolin and guitar playing but the man has a solid set of vocal pipes. It was great to hear them.
The setting was the W.W. Seymour Botanical Conservatory and various mostly glass works or art created by the Hilltop Artists in Residence participants. Both made a wonderful combination for a relaxing free outing. The glass will stick around there until sometime in April and there will be more music in the conservatory each second Sunday from now through next December.
