Photos ~ Pillars of Progress
Whether passing by on my Vespa or bike I'm always impressed with the scale of the project going on to get traffic across the Nalley Valley. The human comparison is diminished when dwarfed by the pre-relic pillars of re-bar and concrete that currently hold up nothing but tower in three's above Center St. and South Tacoma Way. Their progress is amazingly swift with new pillars seeming to go up every week but, yesterday, I stopped for a moment to capture the progress. Funny, but seeing such a massive new car-centric project doesn't make me feel so bad for a few bike lanes going in here and there. As impressive as large scale projects like this are, I think we cater to cars plenty.
