Pots in the Plaza
As KFnet reader Jacob and I'm sure many who've been downtown have noticed, the Plaza now has some new decorations. A handful of planter pots are now scattered through out as a good first shot at making the place more inviting. As Jake noted, the scale is certainly a bit off but it's great to see them trying. Although everything comes down to money, I envision large, circular planters with room for a tree and lower ground cover or annuals ringed with benches for folks to sit to have lunch or whatever. As the so far frigid winter passes it'll be great to see what new events and additions will be made to the Plaza.
Overall, having some plants in the Plaza is nice but the plant I want to see there is a Christmas tree. A really huge one! Anyone know who we'd need to get permission from to put up a tree of our own? We can consider it a "Happy Holidays" from the blogging community to the city.
