Last night Tacoma's Social Media Club got together at our Humane Society's HQ to pool our knowledge of Facebook and good marketing practices to help further adoptions and preventative spaying and neutering. We heard from the Humane Society's Director of Development Marguerite Richmond who clued us into the many, many unsung successes and internally taken for granted factoids that helped keep the our ideas for them flowing. So much so that we ended up with 5 typed pages of notes that we're going to whittle down into a palatable plan to help guide their social media efforts in 2012 (and hopefully beyond!). I can't wait to see what they do with our ideas and frankly can't wait to get involved with them myself!
Keep your eyes out for next month's meet-up which will be a social hopefully including great local beer and/or wine and, other than that, no agenda aside from mingling and networking (though I imagine we'll come up with an activity or two for prizes).
