Super Moon Lunar Eclipse

A golden evening in Seattle made for a perfect night for friends and neighbors to gather for an event in the sky. As everyone arrived we offered up warm cider and cookies but searched for the Moon as it rose in the east. Once we found it the show was on! Everyone chatted, kids rolled down the hill on a patch of grass nearby, and we all took turns gazing through the telescope, ooo'ing and ahh'ing as the lunar eclipse went through it's phases. Thanks to everyone who came to watch!

Popped on the 10mm eyepiece to zoom in on Tycho crater a bit

Good night full, beautiful Super Moon
