Easter Love
Making the decision not to venture home this weekend, I was given a dose of the love that a family can extend to one of their own. I received a most unexpected package full of Easter goodies and an irresistible stuffed bunny with a bright orange carrot in its paws. I love my family.
With time to kill this weekend, I've already had two wonderful adventures: hiking in Pack Forest near Mt. Rainier and eating Bayou food. The hike was in the morning with a new friend. It took us to the top of a gentle peak, to an experimental forest, and into a stand of old growth. We pondered life and its many real-world metaphors and soiled our shoes. Upon our return, I took a solo venture to a New Orleans-style restaurant for lunch. I ate cheese fries and read Apollo 13. A good start to what proposes to be a great weekend!
