Swimming & Swinging.

March the 30th marked two firsts for me: I started a swimming class and took my first swing dancing lesson! Swimming for me is something that is reserved for times when I don't mind being embarrassed. I can't really swim worth a darn. I signed up for Individual Swim Instruction (it starts at 6:30am Monday and Wednesday) so I could actually feel comfortable as a swimmer. It's already working.

The University Jazz Ensemble is putting on a swing dance to raise money. With the tickets come a dance and three lessons. Seeing how I'm in the band, I get in to the lessons for free. I couldn't resist an offer like that so I sucked in my ego and took the plunge. I've never danced with any skill. Now, I feel like I could take on John Travolta!
