Too much Discovery
Sunday, and I can count less than 24 hours until I'll be readying myself for the launch of STS-93 on the 30th anniversary of the first human footstep on the Moon. It really should be a great time and I wish everyone at NASA and those involved with the Chandra Observatory great success.
I started my day kinda' late for the simple reason that my bed was really comfy and I was having some cool dream where I was just talking with (seriously!) Julia Roberts. Soon after I got ready for the day, Dr. Leake invited Erika and I to join her at her church for an ice cream social. She met us in our hall around noon and we all walked across the street to the event. Lots of strange people eating really incredible, home made ice cream. I had some of the peach flavored and it was great! The difference between artificial flavoring and natural became clear to me today.
I spent the afternoon in the GIS lab working in Power Point testing out its printing capabilities on the plotter. I figured out that I can print out a poster 30" wide and some 40" or more tall. It'll be a great tool for my poster for this summer.
My evening mostly consisting of communication to the homeland and various programs on the Discovery Channel. So, tonight I sleep. Tomorrow I live a dream. One of my life goals will be fulfilled - and I can't wait!
