Introducing...
Turkey break is coming up and I have only a few things to do before it. I get to sit in with the Lab Band tomorrow night as well my usual role in the University Jazz Ensemble. I'm kinda' sad that I can't be in the group next semester and that this will probably be my last trumpet concert for this year. Even though I'm not a music major or a hard-core jazz student I really have a great respect for the band and the music that goes on in it. And although I have to quit the ensemble for the Spring 2000 semester I just wish I could stick around for the solitary reason that if I have something to offer the group, I want to offer it. And offer it I will tomorrow night. It'll be a great time and I'll look forward to arranging my schedule next year this kind of thing won't have to happen again.
And now allow me to introduce you to the newest member of the Kevin Freitas Family of Technological Doohickies. The one, the only... Li'l Shefa!

Weighing in at 20.6 ounces and able to fit into most pants pockets, Li'l Shefa is a great new tool/toy in my life. With it's barrage of personal organization software I've been able to, for the first time, keep track of my assignments and appointments in style. Its decent size keyboard also allows quick input for working in pocket versions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. And who can forget the games. Right now I have only Solitare (which I avoid), Minesweeper, and Chess installed which is more than enough to keep me occupied, that is at least until I get frusterated at the computer for knowing exactly where to move his pieces everytime. Not that I'm BITTER or anything but, c'mon. Build in some mistakes in its actions sometime. A guy can only take being check mated so many times. Anyway, this new HP 620LX will be a great tool in all sorts of situations, primarily when I travel. Doesn't cost much to ship a computer that fits in my pocket. Just don't think my desktop PC would quite fit in there.
