So close yet so far
This is just one of those, nothing in particular kinda' days. Got up kinda' late, headed to breakfast on Matt Agee's meal ticket, then went out in search of the Magnolia soundtrack on CD with Ben. We stopped at four places before we finally found it. A minor triumph that propelled us back toward the Lutedome in my slightly discombobulated car. Poor thing seems to be having electronics-related problems. The most crutial of which includes the fan system not working. This is only bad because it's a Volvo that is notorious for fogging up at the slightest hint of climate change. The rest of my afternoon has thus far been spent watching the Super Bowl commercials. A few doosies so far that have made me laugh heartily. I guess the game's okay too but you'll never catch me on any special edition of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire answering questions related to it!
Adjusting to home has been a simple task since my return from Hawaii on Thursday night. I took the train home to Vancouver on Friday morning and eventually ended up at my house in La Center. It was good to see my brother, parents, and grandma but I soon left all that behind for the lonely and somewhat relaxing environoment here at PLU. I drove back up Saturday morning and set myself back up in good old Hong Hall B18. Although I am now back into emailing Sarah on a regular basis to and from England it did nothing to decrease the distance between us yesterday. I suppose the lack of humans around campus really made for a lonely afternoon/evening. I do miss Sarah greatly and just wish there was some way to experience really amazing things with one another and yet still learn like we're apart. That probably sounds pretty silly but I mean it. I made new friends, had new adventures, and learned new things while in Hawaii and she's surely doing the same in England right now. I just wish there was some way to duplicate this yet remain only minutes from physical contact with her. Let's get those transporter beam systems working!
