Miracle on 120th St.
Once upon a time, there was a street just north of PLU that poured over with parked cars every time class was in session. One day a young man came unparked his vehicle to take himself to a picture party for a trip he took this January. After a few hours, the hapless traveler drove back to campus and the aforementioned street only to find that someone had nudged their car near the spot where Kevin's once parked. The parallel nature which these vehicles normally adhered to would not be sufficient for our hero's dijon-yellow 1983 Volvo wagon. Faced with a decision to park between this car and a mailbox, Kevin chose to dance with the odds and try something new. He forded the river of innovation and used the space provided to park his horseless carriage at a diagonal angle with respect to the street and the other parallel parked cars.
Thinking nothing of his action, Kevin walked away from his car only to revisit it the next day. With plans to transport himself and two friends to a film at the local cinema our hero escorted his friends to his awaiting vehicle. What befell his eyes was a sight he was astonished to see. Other cars near his own had been enlightened by the innovation committed by Kevin's Volvo and joined the revolution of parking cars on 120th St. Cars other than his own now oriented themselves in a similar diagonal fashion as Kevin's car and thus a new day dawned in Parkland, Washington. Parking will forever be changed.
And they all lived happily ever after.
