Thanks for the "Thank you"

Nothing says 'Thank you' like cookies

Who knew that such a simple task to kill some time (and avoid one's homework) could yield such a lovely gift? On Sunday afternoon Matt and I offered our services (and bulky arms) to Holly while she moved her belongings from Ordal to the lower campus dorm of Tinglestad. After a few trips from her old room to her parent's van we hiked down to lower campus and moved her stuff up to her new 8th floor room (don't worry, there was an elevator). It was a piece of cake and was most certainly our pleasure.

Today when I returned from my morning classes the Hong front desk worker caught my attention and told me "this" was for me from Holly. It was a big, beautiful bouquet of colorful tissue paper and cookies in the shape of angels and stars suspended on the end of wooden dowels. On the cookies was written "Thanks. You guys are angels." Aside from the cookies being scrumptious examples of pastry, it was wonderful of Holly to think of us in that way. It was a lovely "thank you" to which I can only say thank you. You (Holly) are a great example of a human being.
