The old Kevin back
He took Gimp-B-Gone®
I'm pleased to say that despite staying up later than I should've and attending a salsa dance (just to listen) this morning I feel better already. My strong headache is a painful memory and the weight I felt in my chest has lifted. Now all that remains is a stuffy nose and a throat full of goo that is just waiting to be coughed up, chunk by chunk. I'm not sure what did it exactly but I know for sure the ibuprofin I took Thursday night only relieved my headache because I woke up yesterday feeling just as bad. Once I received advice about possible solutions from my mom and sister I had purchased for me a 3-tube quantity of oscillococcinum (pronounced ah-sill-o-cox-see-num, as the label on the box so kindly points out). These little sugary pellets were my dessert for the evening. I broke the seal on one of the vials and poured its contents onto the underside of my tongue. As if sent in to action by my saliva, the beads of sugar-coated oscillococcnum faintly fizzled in my mouth much like the Pop Rocks I used to eat as a child dazzled and delighted the inside of my mouth. Anyway, this rapid bloodstream delivery system may have done the trick because I now feel like I'm on my way to [relative] normality once again. Good thing too 'cause I'm sure my friends were getting tired of shelling out the sympathy to me.
Thanks everyone for putting up with me and, believe me, if you get sick because of it, I'll be there for you as well!
