Recipe for a great Fourth
Once Kristin and Nick made it to my house in La Center, we all headed to Matt Turner's house in downtown Vancouver to spend the day eating, throwing Aerobee, and ooo-ing and ahh-ing at every whiz, whistle, or bang. Matt's parents were very gracious to welcome so many people to their house. They always do a great job and there always seems to be great times that come of it. Although cloudy, the weather proved to be a perfect retreat from normal July heat. The cool temperature worked well with the activities of the day and life only got better when a bunch of us took off for the Columbia River to watch the fireworks from Aaron's boat.
I won't go into great detail about the fireworks we watched tonight for I will let the pictures I snapped of it tell all. Besides, if you weren't there to enjoy it for yourself it's hard to imagine how spectacular it was.
