Flash, bang! Rumble, rumble...

I could tell by the weather that today was going to be pretty worthless to me as far as being productive goes. The morning was shrouded beneath a layer of gray clouds and punctuated by a chilly, summer morning breeze. Sarah left for work around noon and I sat doing nothing-in-particular at my computer or in front of the TV for the duration if the afternoon. The only two things to break the monotony of the day were a brief (very brief — as in maybe 5 lightning sightings) thunder storm and a visit to Matt Turner's house. We hung out for a while and talked while he showed me a few new games he was playing.

From then up to now, I've washed all the dishes in the sink, eaten a snack of one chocolate toaster pastry, unshelled peanuts, and an orange soda, and watched a special about Easter Island on PBS. Sarah will be home soon with my new sandals and the night will probably wind down as it does nearly every night: quietly and with the one I love.
