Get a job (Shah, nah, nah, nah...)

Last night around 5pm the phone rang my number's ring. On the other end was the Dean of Information resources at PLU to tell me that they thought I was the most qualified for the job of Webmaster to which I had earlier applied. We set up a brief meeting in his office for this morning which started the ball rolling in the direction of my new career. There are plenty of questions I asked and will still need to ask about holding such a position. They reassured me that I'll be getting much support when it comes to managing a team of web developers and when it comes to any of my questions. I'm not overwhelmingly excited about this all but I'm hungry to get started. The big day is this August 14th. I'm sure I'll do well with it all but getting to the point where I'm comfortable with my own finances and responsibilities will be a road that I'll not walk alone. The help of others will and has already been requested.

Sarah is also looking toward an internship with the Tacoma Art Museum. She had an interview this afternoon for it and she was really happy with the outcome. The people there are only going to conduct a few more interviews then they'll be able to get back to the applicants. In light of her current job at Sears, I'm really hopeful that Sarah will land this one. She deserves to be in a situation where her creative talent can be utilized and expanded in ways that organizing shoes on the store shelves just can't. She's curled up in a tired ball on my bed right now so I should probably stop this typing and get to a little quality snuggling.
