Making choices

Jazz choir auditions at PLU came to an end with a night full of impressive singing. Tonight everyone was required to sing a piece of our choice (either with or without the rhythm section) and then be spot checked on two charts the entire group worked on last week. One by one we all went up in front of our group of peers and gave it our all. Wayne has the unfortunate pleasure of now narrowing the field down to the final picks. Although the decision on the male side of it is easy (only 5 tried out), the rhythm section and women will be choices that I wouldn't want to have to make. Too much talent meets a small group. Disappointment is sure to smack someone in the face and to them I just want to give a big thumbs up. It was a great and promising night for vocal jazz at PLU.
