Time to check in

Day in a day out I spend at one computer or another. The time soars past me as the irridescent pixels constantly display color after color for my eyes to recognize, process, and change them. Working with computers is like traveling the speed of light because everything (especially time) outside of my body and the computer cruise by like the relativity that stretches a light-speed traveler's time. I'm only thinking like this because I haven't written an entry on this site for nearly half a month now and I should pay somewhat closer attention to it. I enjoy my website! I like writing for it. Some days life just piles up on me and that, plus a usually tired set of typing hands, prevents me from spending the time writing here to relax and unload a bit.

So what have I been doing? Work. Class. DroidDerby website. Hanging with Sarah. I guess I eat and sleep in there somewhere but I don't really consider those downtime because 1) I have to do them and 2) I don't get a chance to think during either. My idea of chilling out is to relax in a state where I don't have to do much more than breathe and something else. Just one thing at a time. That's what I consider relaxation. And that's exactly what I'm working on tonight. I'm typing here, I'll soon let Sarah into the Multimedia Lab so she can upload some stuff for TAM, then I might watch a movie. I need to do nothing and tonight seems like the perfect night in which to do so.

Here's an idea: why not create a database driven website that's a place for people to catalog and share their dreams. We remember them but never have a place to jot them down. This way people could visit the site, jot down a couple notes, and read what other crazy things people dream about. If there's any one form of creativity everyone on this planet excels at it's dreaming. Some people are musical and some carve wood with chainsaws but EVERYone dreams and remembers them at one time or another. It could be a really fantastic way to explore the landscapes and situations people face behind their eyelids at night and I know I'd be fascinated to be able to peek into the imagination of others. Like the telepaths on any Star Trek episode it is a window to the mind's true self. The side's address (if not already taken): DreamChasers.net. Goodnight.
