I can just make out that new car smell

Had myself a productive day at work which included a call to my local Tacoma Subaru dealership. I've been working on a deal to bring home a blue Subaru Impreza TS Sport Wagon for my new mode of reliable transportation. My contact (and internet sales rep. from that same dealership) has been working with me to get what I want. After a botched order that was to be placed directly from the factory I decided to see if we couldn't come up with something nearby to have transported to Tacoma. After a little searching we found a candidate Impreza in Portland, OR and I prompted the sales rep. to see what he could do to get it up here.

Yesterday I talked with him and he let me know that, with near 100% certainty, a driver would pick it up today. And he did. That same Subaru is now in Tacoma and waiting for me -- or so I thought. I placed a cautionary call to the dealership's sales manager to inquire about the vehicle. No dealing with the rep. I'm in contact with could be done today as he's out of town swooshing down some slope or another. My call was to verify that I had some claim on this car and, if I didn't, to set one. The manager verified this as the car in question but let me know that it was up for grabs. Sarah and I hurried over there after I set off from work and put a $500 check in their hands.

Left is the final assessment of adding features I desire and finalizing price. It was sure good to see it though. It'll be nice to see (and drive) it everyday, I'm sure.
