Biker dudes

Not much to say about today other than we woke up late, Gavin and I hit the grocery store, Sarah and I cleaned up the front yard portion of our garden, and Cliff Colon and I met to ride our bikes over to Point Defiance.

After a few coordinating call on our cell phones we decided to meet up at the corner of 6th and Union just a little over a mile west from my house. This being my third ride of the summer I seriously over estimated how long it would take me to get to our meeting point. Once I got there I gave Cliff a call and he was still about 10 minutes out. I chilled and just plain looked cool waiting for him. Once her arrived we said our hello's and headed north on Union past the University of Puget Sound (which has far more money than PLU -- shown by it's large window full of Chihuly glass and massive fountain), took a left to head west on 26th and cruised north on Narrows Drive and into the park. The route was great because 3/4 of it were blessed with bike lanes. Once at the park we found a nice spot above the ferry launch and sat and talked before heading home. We took a different return route which I couldn't dictate if I wanted to but it was a nice, somewhat windy one through a bunch of local neighborhoods. Sarah, feeling far better than two days previous, spent the early evening baking lavender bread and mixed up some cool lavender lemonaide.
