Funky Gmail

I went in to work a little late this morning to allow my body just a few more minutes to recover from my road trip the day before. It felt great to cruise through a pile of emails and messages today as well as make some improvements to the PLU search scripts. The building I work in is a bit uncomfortable as far as temperatures go. Today, even though the weather outside was cloudy and relatively cool, inside the warmth of a few days built up and lingered into today. At the peak of last summer the library's air conditioning went out and we all went home early due to the sauna-like conditions. This contrasts with summers before that when the AC was on so high that I had to borrow 1970s space heater to keep warm!(?) We'll see if someone can get things right this time around.

Today I also extended the first invites from my recently acquired Gmail account to Sarah and Gavin. Although I won't likely use it for much more than spam fodder, it's nice to have around as a novelty and for some digital "just in case" scenario. Consequently, I have 4 Gmail invites yet to dole out and, in the spirit of the bartering and swapping that went on when a lucky few were chosen by Google to test the webmail program, I'm putting them up to swap for goods or services from anyone reading this site. Post what you'd be willing to trade for one of my Gmail invites in the comments below and I'll hand them out to the most generous and/or creative among them.
