Coke with lime and twist of a car chase
Yes, there really is a way to cram two such exciting events into on day. After helping out a fellow co-worker in the PLU library she offered me a treat that is unlike anything I'd seen before. Diet Coke with Lime. Yes, from a company that brought you Coke, Coke Classic and I Can't Believe It's Not Coke comes a brilliant scheme to rekindle us with our love for Coke. When the sharp minds down in Marketing stay up all night ideas tend to sprout from nothing to take shape into a genius idea. It's also obvious they stayed up a little too late, knocked over a can of Sprite (a Coke product) and a can of Coke and POOF! A new era in silly flavors that could be comes to life. I drank it tonight with dinner and, althought the lime actually tasted like lime, I wasn't impressed. I'll stand by my personal mantra and will continue to say "No" to Coke.
In other news... this afternoon when I stepped outside the PLU library to walk to my car I heard sirens and saw a car speed off on 121st St. in front of me. Trailing fast behind were a few squad cars. Once in my car I headed out on Yakima where I again saw our culpret join this road a ways ahead of me with his persuers in tow. Although I whipped out my camera to snag a shot of the villian he was too swift and I figure there's not much getting away in these situations what with helicopters on the side of the police and all. It isn't, however, a good feeling to know that at any time during this chase a cop reaching for his radio could speed right into my car in a careless second. I tip-toed through Parkland with my radio off and windows down in hopes to avoid such an encounter. Lucky for me and everyone else there didn't seem to be any major incidents and I think I saw what could've been the end of the chase looking south on Pacific Ave. across Hwy. 512 where traffic likely help nab the chase-ee.
