How do you KevinFreitas.net?
I'm working on a new layout for this site's homepage and need some feedback. What compels you to read an entry on my site?
a. Its title
b. The two sentence summary
c. Number of comments posted
d. Number of photos posted
e. Other
Please choose one but, if you don't like boundaries, feel free to rank them in order of importance. Any explanation of your answer(s) will also help.
Is there something missing that you'd like to see/know about entries I write (e.g. word count, number of times viewed, more pretty pictures, etc.)?
I really appreciate the feedback and hope to post a new homepage by the end of the week. That is, if one of you doesn't post some brilliant idea that will have me wipe what I'm thinking and start all over. Happy commenting!

Well, even though I read your site no matter how little or how much is in a post, I guess I'd rank the order of what persuades me (from most to least) as: d, c, a, b.

I like pictures. And really I will probably just read what you write no matter what. Title, summary, number of comments, it doesn't really matter. So I would vote pictures.

I would definitely vote pictures as my number one reason for coming to the site, closely followed by text of entry--despite my urges to fix wonky grammar and spelling. Can't say that I really go to any other part of the website (artwork, webdev, etc). The titles draw me in, but I would read them anyway. And frequency of postings is always a plus, and I enjoy reading other reader comments.

I typically open an entry by observing the following: a, c, d, b
Also a side note: I can appreciate the most current comment to be displayed on the bottom as you've done. Keep up the good work! And thanks for the little inside to your life through your website.

Your site has now made my standard rotation of things I do when I should be working. This means I will read any new content several times regardless of pictures, comments or even coherence (random strings of letters are more interesting than my dissertation). That said, comments probably pique my interest more than the other four.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! A new homepage is on its way. Hopefully within a week or so I'll have it up and humming. Hope you like it!
