Happy 50 million Firefox!
Just a couple minute ago the beloved Firefox web browser turned 50 -- 50,000,000 that is. Congratulations to the Mozilla team and to everyone who's contributed to the efforts to provide the world with a better web browsing experience.

Thanks to my TickerFox extension I could be there when it happened. I'm proud to say that through my various extensions I feel like I've given something back to a project that has been so helpful to me as a web developer over the last couple years. Firefox and related projects gives me hope that the future of the web and computing in general may not be something held in the grasp of massive corporations but made better by individuals who care enough to contribute.
I wish the entire Mozilla team and foundation many happy returns and can't wait to see this thing roll out another 50 million.
