Post-move photos are in!
Now this doesn't meant that any of you are off-the-hook for coming to our yet-to-be-announced house warming star party. I wanted to share with everyone some pics of our house since we've completed some projects and removed all the boxes. Last night we wrapped up the basics in the living room, office, and cleaned up the desk and remaining boxes in the kitchen. The drapes are still a work-in-progress mainly because we've never done this sort of thing. Feel free to toss any comments in the hat to that effect. Our goal is for the wood paneling to become a thing of the past either by removing it or painting over it in some creative way. This presents the issue covering whether we buy drapes now in colors we may or may not want to match with in the future. Dunno. Perhaps the drapes will be the first step in this progression.
Anyway, enjoy the photos and feel free to let us know what you'd do to the place.

Wow! You have totally changed the way everything looks. I think the living room window looks awesome. The window scarf in the living room looks good. I can help with the bedroom window scarf if you are not happy with it. It all looks very livable. Good job.

Holy cow! I love it! Wow. The house looks amazing. I love both of the window coverings very much! The colors are so vibrant. I love how you tied the bedroom scarf. (Where, oh where, did your ingenious ideas come from? How many episodes of Trading Spaces did you REALLY watch??)
The floor looks gorgeous! The kichen is huge, even with all of your new appliances and furniture. I can't wait to see the island when it comes in. The house looks fashionably homey, very comfortable. I really can't say enough. Just the fact that Colby is resting peacefully says it all...
My visit is coming very soon. I'm counting down the days now... Take care, both of you. And for God's sake: rest.

Everything looks great! I particularly like the curtain swag in the master bedroom. that must be a record time for boxes in a new house unpacked. We still have three lingering boxes from our move last June!
i have to say that there is only one thing missing...Lulu! I have to say she has be rather lax in posting on her website, she must just be sleeping on the job. But it is good to see Colby has settled onto his throne so nicely.
Now that the Changing Rooms transformation has taken place, I'm looking forward to the Ground Force garden!

So, does anyone think we need to iron those drapes?

I wasn't saying I didn't like the bedroom window scarf. Sarah was frustrated with it. Everything looks great.

Steam them, of course. We can do that. Might even be able to make that happen while the drapes are still in place. I'm sure that would make Sarah happy.
I'm actually pretty fond of the bedroom scarf myself. Adds a nice bit of color in there but, of course, now Sarah wants to get a different bed set to match. Patience...
