Photos ~ Tacoma morning, Northwest Trek, and gaming with friends
The sun shone brilliantly this morning and bathed downtown Tacoma in a pink light that I could help but notice. I took a couple photos from the alley near our work. The only reason I noticed this was because I had to make a trip to the nearby mail box to send our our first annual batch of Christmas cards. Good times! Milestone reached!
Part of my day was also to be spent out at Northwest Trek to do some training on their new website. I hadn't been since last February so was excited to return. The training was only a partial success because their internet connection konked out on us after only teaching one group of two how to make the site go. Fortunately for me one of the women that works there offered to take me around the park while it was closed for the day to the public. The animals we saw were all pretty active and I had fun snapping some shots with the new camera.
On the way back to town I also stopped at nearby Clear Lake and grabbed some photos of a crisp, snow-covered Mt. Rainier. Beautiful.
Tonight we also hung out with a couple friends from my work and played a little Street Fighter to cap the evening off.
Oh, and there's no more smoking in public establishments in Washington state. All I have to say is: FINALLY!
Less chat, more photos.

Kev -- thanks for the snowy owl picture for my backdrop! That looks like a fun place to go.

Those pictures are *fantastic.* Now I shall definitely go around telling people "my former boss is cooler than your former boss" for at least a week. (bow:ed moose? priceless.)

The bobcat is now sitting on my computer desk. Great shots. National Geographic quality.
