Tacoma Greek Festival Oct. 6-8

Greek flagHere it is Monday and I'm already looking forward to next weekend. Well, since it's now Fall and no one thinks there's anything to do besides stay in with your latest NetFlix pick, here's an event worth salivating over. Tacoma's 30th annual Greek Festival takes place this Friday through Sunday. Although I can't speak about it from experience since I've yet to go, knowing how much I loves me a good gyro, it's gotta be good! Looks like there will be plenty of food, art, dancing, and even tours of the Saint Nicholas Church there.

Parking near the church is free (though I recommend the bus) and admission is free though donations are certainly welcome. See you there!

I have been to a Greek party once, back in my college years when some of my colleagues were Greeks from Crete. I have never been to a Greek festival, but I imagine is not much more different than a party where everybody is happy, dances, eats and drinks to remember of their country and where they especially dance the same dance we saw in “Zorba the Greek”.
