Oversleeping, good meeting, Paula Abdul drunk

I'm hurting for content, folks. Feel free to fling suggestions or topics my way and I'd be glad to fill the your browser with them. Although paltry, here's what I've got.

Although I don't remember them, I've been dreaming a bit the last couple nights. Most of the time this is good because my dreams lately have been pretty fun and memorable. Very tangible situations that usually directly relate to something I read, a game I played, or a TV show I watched. As I said, I don't remember anything from last night but know that sometimes dreams can make me kinda' tired. Yeah, crackhead, I know. Seriously. They have a way, especially when they're pretty real, of throwing me off. This morning, for instance, I over slept by nearly an hour. I think I mistakenly forgot to set my alarm last night but normally my body will wake me up around the correct time. Not so this morning as a dream woke me up at 4:56am which threw my internal clock off enough that it wasn't until about 6:30am that I woke up and stayed up. Fortunately I'm pretty quick to get ready especially since my normal mornings have about an extra hour built-in. I could just as easily roll out of bed at 7:30am and still make it to my nearby office shortly after 8am. I could certainly be more spoiled by my commute, it's true. Normally I just choose not to be.

Once at work today we did some more prep around the office for tomorrow's open house. We hung some framed photos to lend some much-needed life to the big, blank walls. I also had a great meeting with a client using our new digital projector for show-and-tell. It came in handy especially considering we normally make clients look at a LCD screen rather than sit back and look at a 6' projection on the wall. It really makes things easier even in a one-on-one meeting like mine today. Anyway, it's always nice to deliver what a client wants and progress with them as a partner rather than a nagging parent. We do good work and I'm proud of that and wouldn't have taken this job if our standards of quality and service were any lower.

Yeah, so tonight was pretty mellow with only a viewing of American Idol to liven things up. The women in the competition this time around have some work to do in order to beat out the men. Fortunately tonight at least one of the guys we thought should leave did. The other, that I've lovingly dubbed "Chicken Little", is still in it. No matter because tonight the fun came from Paula Abdul. Although the esteemed panel of judges is normally the epicenter of show drama tonight Paula seemed to attract the spotlight with her rambling and giddy drunkenness. Yup. She was spouting unintelligible nonsense anytime she was asked for her input. Even the host seemed a but surprised by her behavior. Hey, what are they going to do, fire her? It was actually pretty funny and my vote goes for the producers to get one judge smashed before each show just to liven things up even more. Heck, it might give a chance to any one of the tone-deaf kids on that show since their pitch-problems would probably zing right past a tipsy judge.

Freitas out.
