Have a digital camera? Like to take pictures? Want some free tips? Meet up with me and I'll dish up a list of ways you can help take your photos from family album to gallery wall (maybe). My name is Kevin Freitas and I've been a digital photographer for 8 years. I've been through four digital cameras ranging from point-and-shoot to a more professional digital SLR. I've learned a few things about digital cameras in general since using them to snap the over 70,000 photos in my album.
I'm not a professional but always enjoy sharing my knowledge with others. Join me for an afternoon walking workshop in downtown Tacoma and I'll give out tips we can practice while taking a stroll though this lovely (and rather photogenic) city.

New baby for the boss
Congrats to my boss Brian's family as they welcomed their new son/brother Alec into the world this morning. But more importantly ;) this means I won the office baby pool! Which... actually means nothing because we were just picking dates and times for fun and, at most, I'm slated to earn some kind of respect for my sixth sense and possibly a bag of Gardetto's to call my very own.
The family's new addition was born this morning around 11:30am (my guess was 7:23am -- not bad!) and is doing well weighing in a 7lbs 7oz. Our best goes out to Brian's wife Julie in hopes of a speedy recovery and quiet, baby crying free nights.
