Shakespeare in the Parking Lot 7/27, 8/5

Shakespeare in the Parking Lot - Women of Richard IIIAn article in the Trib pointed me to what could be some great Shakespeare performed by a local troop. Shakespeare in the Parking Lot, as they are called, will be performing at Kings Books July 27 @ 5:30pm and at the Proctor Arts Festival August 5. The group will also perform at Celebrate Tacoma August 12 and 13 on the UW Tacoma steps. Audience members there will get a behind-the-scenes view as actors put on their makeup and rehearse before the real show begins. The shows are all free (donations are welcome tho) so get out there and experience Shakespeare by a local group of starving actors trying to make a point. I'm sure it'll be a good time whether you understand the plays or not.

Weekend recap: hot flying evening photos

So, yeah, this weekend was an absolute toasty one here with temperatures in the 90s. I did manage to get out and have a little fun with it though and here's what was up.

- Spent Friday night with some friends in their cool basement and caught this great sunset
- Saturday day was pretty much useless as I spent most of it wandering around with my shirt sticking to various chairs
- Saturday night I hung with Gavin and Steve to do some RC flying AND...
- Later Saturday night went up to snap some postcards of Seattle at dusk
- Sunday, again, was a pass with the hot temperatures -- we did get out for some iced coffee and a run to the local Costco

Next weekend: coast camping and [hopefully] cooler weather.
