A little morning "D'oh!"

So, yeah, you know you're either tired or distracted when you forget something simple in the morning. Me, I forgot my spoon. Here's a quick snapshot of my morning breakfast routine: After feeding the cats it's time for me to eat so I assemble the usual glass, bowl, spoon, milk, cereal, and juice. I put it all together in a meaningful form (e.g. cereal in bowl, juice in glass, etc) and head upstairs to eat at my computer desk. Don't worry, I don't work in the mornings but do my regular web surfing and entry writing.

There certainly are times when I'm tired enough to nearly pour the orange juice over my cereal (I swear it looks kinda' milky-ish in dull lighting) but that's not as subtle as my mistake this morning. Got upstairs, scanned the news, poured milk over my flakes, and went to eat. "Something is missing," I thought before realizing a rather necessary piece of my complete breakfast puzzle. A spoon.

Bent spoon deep thoughts

Now the soggy clock was ticking and I had no [non-messy] choice or alternative spoon substitute option but to dash back downstairs. It was actually pretty painless and I chuckled to myself about it then decided it was just silly enough you might want to read about it.

Anyway, as mornings go, it certainly could be worse and I'd frankly rather get these anomalies out of the way before heading to work. Let's just say I'll be double checking for pants before I head out the door today. ;)
