Sounder to Lakewood route open house

Stopped by Freighthouse Square yesterday to an open house put on my SoundTransit for folks to see the current ideas about how to get the Sounder from Tacoma to Lakewood. Here's a few points I gathered from the handouts, renderings, and staff on-hand.

My thoughts are pretty positive on this but I'll share with you my conclusions from what I learned above and the workshopped notes hanging on the walls from local business owners and stakeholders.

For some renderings of what things might look like as well as all the notes posted from that workshop have a look below.

Photos ~ Out for the afternoon

Sometimes a break is necessary and this afternoon the SiteCrafting crew left the office for lunch and some bowling. We started off with a great lunch at Primo Grill then rounded things off at Chalet Bowl in the Proctor area. Everyone had a great time chatting it up over food. Bowling was also a blast with some good playing by everyone and even our nine-ish month pregnant Hiromi. Guess this is some kind of freakish tradition now since we took Sarah (no, not mine) bowling when she was pretty pregnant. Anyway, congrats to Hiromi and three cheers to Dave who bowled a monster 183 that included a nice quad-Turkey.

As Brian noted, we need to do this more often. Well said.
