Tacoma's Fall Colors ~ Union Street and UPS
Fellow KFnet friend Joel and I enjoyed a morning making a big loop around Tacoma in search of fall color. I alone snapped about 350 photos and, inspired by Todd Matthews series on the Winthrop, thought I might do something similar. Instead of one photo a day (I don't roll with the teasing quite like that ;) I'll post a batch at a time from each area we visited. Drop by every day this week to see more!
First up is a series shot on Union in north Tacoma and near the campus of UPS. We set out between about 9 and 10 o'clock and stopped along Union St. first. The light was great with even a slight fog in the air to allow a couple fun, back sun lit shots. With the wide median along Union between N 30th and about 11th, anyone can easily just park along the side of the road then take a leasurly stroll among some of the colorful trees we found there.

Beautiful shots! I especially like the leaf with droplets.
I went out at 12:30ish yesterday to do the same thing, except I live in Parkland so I just drove up Yakima for a while. Here are some of mine...

Thanks Roxy and Mom and thanks for the link to your pics, Roxy. They're great! We were on Yakima for a bit but the red trees I saught were already pretty bare.
More fall color photos coming every day this week.
