Best sledding hills in Tacoma?

Snowy Tacoma neighborhoodWith all the snow outside our windows this early in the season it makes me think we'll have more to come. With today's conditions and any snow to come, where are the best sledding hills in and around Tacoma?

When we rented a house just of Division we hoofed it over to Wright Park a couple years ago and had a blast with what I thought had to be half the city! There were steep hills for the thrill-seeking and lesser ones for the kiddies. We had a good enough time that we even completely broke one of our plastic sleds.

I've even thought a street like Carr with it's unreasonable hill down to Old Town would be fun but there'd have to be enough snow for the road to be completely impassable and safe from cars.

Where else would you go or take your kids sledding around here?

Photos ~ Snowy, icy T-town

Snapped some pics around the 'hood and house this morning. I even braved the elements at lunch by taking the Link into downtown to help a local business owner pay his rent for the day. There wasn't much white stuff or ice downtown but when I got back home tonight the streets of our neighborhood shined covered in ice.

Stay safe out there and count down the days 'til next Wednesday with me as that'll be the first time this season I hit the slopes.
