509 bridge and an orange moon at dusk
The crisp, clear winter skies we've had around here the past week have made for some beautiful sights. The other day my camera was focused on a certain nearby mountain while yesterday is was on a celestial and terrestrial body.

Hope you all have a great weekend and have a chance to throw on a coat and get out a bit. I hear Five Mile Drive is open again since the storms or you could just stroll one of the areas beautiful neighborhoods. My fav is the nearby Proctor neighborhood. A couple fun shops and plenty of quality places to eat. What's your favorite getaway without getting away in Tacoma?

The loop around the lake at Fort Steilacoom makes a nice walk this time of year.
On the neighborhood front, when I'm tired of 6th Ave/Proctor, the area around UW on Pacific is getting really interesting.

It definitely is -- downtown is getting lively enough that driving through on a Wed. night I noticed most of the street parking all along Pacific taken.
Haven't been over to Fort Steilacoom yet -- thanks for the recommendation!

don't forget Ruston Way. talk about great views. Looking south towards downtown you can see the mountain in the distance. A really grand sight.
