Business Briefs: CompUSA closing, new wine and furniture stores open
CompUSA
The Tacoma branch of CompUSA is closing within 90 days. The chain has lagged behind other comsumer tech stores like Best Buy and Circuit City and will shut 126 stores in including those in Bellevue, Kirkland, Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace and Tukwila while keeping the Spokane store open. More »

MultiCare boiler plant to feature nine-story smokestacks
An article in the News Tribune this morning gives us a little more detail about the boiler facility MultiCare wants to build on the edge of Wright Park. One feature folks may not like are the nine-story, stainless steel smokestacks it'll have -- three of 'em. More »
