Tacoma Photo Gang - Upper Tacoma
Last Saturday the Tacoma Photo Gang got together in Upper Tacoma/Hilltop. The place is rich with some great buildings and will certainly be changing over the next few years. Right away, before we got our start, we all noticed we decided to photograph on the day of the Hilltop Block Party. Though some of the tents setup along old "K" Street blocked building facades we still made a good time of it. It was also great to have Sarah along for her first outing with the group since getting her new camera.

No general election bid but Marty still needs your help
Marty Campbell posted a conciliatory letter on his homepage. In it he congratulates the two candidates in his race moving on to the general election and he asks for your donations. Wha?! From the letter:
Our campaign raised over $20,000 in cash and over $15,000 in "in-kind" contributions of items and services to this campaign. However we still have a shortfall. Please consider making donation so I can close the books on this race and be fully prepared for the future.
Brutal. He did run a solid campaign and obviously wants to get on with his life and I imagine any kind of debt on something from which he'll get no further return stings. Kinda' like those student loans I'm still paying off for my BS in Geology. Anyone need an opinion on a rock?
