Photos ~ Tacoma Maritime Fest 2007

This weekend was my first ever visit to the Tacoma Maritime Fest and a really enjoyed myself. Favorite by far was the dock dog jumping. The pups showed tons of spirit even when they were reluctant to go for the glory. The Mayor and company including City Council candidates David Curry and Marilyn Strickland took part with, among what I counted as at least 10 other teams on the day, the dragon boat races. Though at least their first race didn't go as they liked, both Marilyn and David chalked it up to having a good time. Saturday morning crews were under their tents frantically working wood for their entry in the quick 'n dirty boat building contest. I missed their actual race but In-Tacoma has a video of it. We even saw our friends' booth for selling the cutest star baby outfits you've ever seen!

Glad to make it this year and next year I'll definitely have to partake in the free boat and steam train rides. Thanks to the organizers and sponsors for putting on a fun couple of days!

Hey Kevin, you broke 10,000 photos on your site! Congrats. I am sure you noticed. That's alot of clicking.

You are going to have to go on a celebratory event with just you and your camera.
