Joeseppi's feeds Home Makeover crew
Local restranteur and all around great guy Joe Stortini of Joeseppi's is feeding crews on the set of an Extreme Home Makeover happening in Kirkland. A truck has been hauling grub up there to feed between 300 and 500 hungry do-gooders. From an article in today's News Tribune:
"You give to the community and it gives back," Stortini said Monday, as he planned the latest delivery. "We opened the restaurant to serve the community. We try to do that as much as we can."
Which Joe does. He leads by example in this and other charitable endeavors. Most notably to a footer enjoyer like myself, he shows his spirit of involvement by being the one to greet you like your family nearly every time I've set foot in his Italian restaurant off 21st and Pearl. Cheers to Joe for serving up great food and for representing Tacoma so well.

Downtown development town hall meeting tonight
Like downtown Tacoma and want to hear what some local decision makers and business leaders have to say? There's a town hall discussion about it (though not at town hall) tonight organized by Pierce County Councilmember Timothy Farrell. Representatives from the City will be there as well as the local development community. It's tonight at 711 St. Helens Ave. downtown between 6 and 7pm.
