Photos ~ Snowboarding the Crystal Mountain Slushy

With 60 degree temps today in the lowlands it's no surprise that up at Crystal Mountain things were pretty balmy as well. But still fun as hell! College (and current) friend Allison roped me in with a buy-one-get-one-free ticket deal so I took a personal day from work and headed up the hill. We cruised around all day on greens and blues and I even followed her up the Rainier Express chair for my first ever peek at Mt. Rainier from the top up there. Not my fav run down but all in all had a solid day of nine runs, no injuries, no lines, close parking spot, and a tasty beer at lunch. Ah yes, and how could I forget -- we stopped for shakes at Wally's in Buckley on the way down the mountain. I totally got the Thin Mints one and it was awesome!

Thanks for the day Allison and thanks to the weather gods for such a gorgeous day up there. Just what the doctor ordered!
