Back to home we go
I woke up today and got myself ready for an extended weekend at home in La Center, WA. Matt Turner and I packed my Volvo with a few days worth of luggage and stereolessly drove south on I-5. We talked most of the way about the venture he, Aaron, and Gavin (along with others) are taking into the realm of computer game creation. Their idea to program a "Zelda" type of game with some definite creative twists. Matt is pushing to have a finished product by the end of the summer so he has something to show for living here in Parkland. At the rate he's plugging through his DirectX books, there'll be little to halt their progress.
My dad's 59th Birthday is today and Matt and I arrived to a house full of family around to celebrate the occaision. We all sat around for hours talking and joking (some avoided both and just played UpWords) and had a great time of it. It's nice to be in a family where pretty much everyone is grown up (I, of course, being the acception) because the relaxed tongues of the one's I've grown up with becomes more prevalent. I rather enjoy hearing my parents joke about their children having sex or me being able to casually swear around them when the time's right. It's interesting to grow up. Fun too!
