Barbie crashed my Netscape
The stress of the season is certainly upon us as college finals and Christmas day approach. The first wave of relieved students is finishing their final classes of the year 2000 today. My friend Bobby was one of them. He decided to celebrate by stopping here on his way home to Vancouver. We caught up with one another for the brief time he was here and he had a chance to gently rub his class completion in the faces of my housemates. They liked that.
For the rest of the semester I look forward to a stress of my own. I'm on the outside looking in this year as I work my 40 hour weeks in the Multimedia Lab. Although I don't personally have any finals (from my lack of class load) I will be aiding and abetting the numerous project team members that are already utilizing the computers in the lab. It's a great challenge for me but I love helping the weary and stressed alike with whatever I can. Heck, maybe I'll help them get a better grade out of something because of it! Now THAT'S gratifying!
Tonight also marks the start of my rush to find the perfect gifts for everyone on my list. I started that search online and am finding it just about as challenging to find gifts as the old fashioned shopping style. I have faith in my online shopping abilities and shall give gifts that are worth giving. Now I just have to have faith in UPS and the US Postal Service. 'Cause if those gifts don't get here in time, I'm going to have Christmas e-egg all over my face.
