Video ~ When TV moves me
Most TV sucks. Some is OK and even good. But rarely is TV ever great. And when it comes to reality shows, there's not much worth writing about here. Two fav moments in this style of TV so far. First one is when Uchenna and Joyce won Amazing Race 7. They played well and didn't dump on others and their good karma paid them back when, yards from the finish line and without money to pay their cab, a stranger was kind enough to give it to them.
The other moment happened on my favorite reality/talent show So You Think You Can Dance. Crappy title but there's nothing but talent on display here from the great choreographers to the dancers themselves. So, last week were the auditions and they did a bio on a 20 year old Computer Science student with scoliosis. My expectation was for a cheesy love fest over someone who, despite his heart and drive, couldn't dance worth a darn. Well, see for yourself just why he can be considered an inspiration:
He blew my mind and I've gone back about a half dozen times to watch it. He took what he could do and knocked it out of the park all while genuinely entertaining me and I'm sure millions of other folks. Well done, Bryan and thanks!
