Burnout 3: A new love in my life (sorry Sarah)

Ever since watching Tyson mindlessly destroy vehicle after vehicle during my recent bachelor party, I knew I had to get in on some of that. Hopefully it won't jeopardize that whole marriage thing. Tonight I bought a used copy of Burnout 3: Takedown for our Xbox. Sarah approved of the purchase so I was happy to save ten bucks getting it used. This is what a console video should be. It's like some knarly combination of any solid racing game combined with the speed of Pod Racer and the unnecessary violence of any game in the GTA series -- all on crack and speed. It's great fun to progress through the different challenges since they vary from driving your car head-on into a busy intersection to cause the biggest smash-up to racing against another car to win your opponent's wheels. There are more variations on this theme which definitely satisfy the video gamers A.D.D. tendencies. Kudos to EA for putting out such a great ride and a great arcade experience that should be enjoyed without the driver and network issues that come with PC gaming. Don't worry about the new marriage in my life, however, since Sarah said she'll be playing this after she's done with Prince of Persia -- yes, she's the greatest!

Ah yes. I am slowly but surely on my way to finishing that game. I also have my Oddworld games to master as well. And now that you've introduced me to Burnout 3, it'll be some time before I'm able to try out the Prince of Persia: Warrior Within or other new games that have been recommended to me by friends. At this rate I'll be retired before I get to all of the "must conquer" games on my list.

Funny...those Burnout 3 screenshots don't look all that familiar to me, though. Where's all the ones of you missing all the traffic by driving off cliffs, hitting buildings and running into guardrails?
